Rural Internet or Rural Broadband is not a specific type of internet connection, but rather a description of the characteristics of Internet Services in rural areas. In other words, it describes the types of broadband connections which can reach places outside of towns and cities.

People that live in remote towns, on farms and in other isolated areas simply don't have access to Fibre Broadband and must look for alternative broadband connection types. These types are known as 'Rural Broadband' options.
